Tips for Retrieving Water-Quality Data

Steps to retrieve data directrly from our web site

If you know the site identifier:

1. http://nd.water.usgs.gov/
2. Choose: Water-Quality
3. Click on: Statewide Historic Water-Quality Data
4. Choose: Field/Lab Samples
5. Click 'Site Number' from 'SiteIdentifier'
6. Enter Site Number (i.e. 06338490), and under Retrieve water quality samples for selected sites select 'Inventory of water-quality data' and select 'with retrieval' from dropdown box
7. Click on: Submit
8. From the list of available Parameter Codes, check the constituents; enter dates at bottom; and choose 'HTML' or 'Tab-separated data file, wide order' for output; click submit

If you don't know the site identifier:

1. View List of Sites and search for your site
2. Follow Steps 1 through 8 above
