LOCATION.--Lat 45°49'15'', long 96°29'25", in SW1/4 sec.8, T.127 N., R.46 W., Traverse County, Hydrologic Unit 09020102, at bridge on U.S. Highway 75, 1 mi upstream from Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul railroad bridge, 0.5 mi north of Wheaton, and about 8 mi above Lake Traverse.
DRAINAGE AREA.--810 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1915 to September 1924, October 1930 to September 1958. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in Water-Supply Paper 1308. Peaks only for 1985 to current year.
GAGE.--History of gage published in Water-Supply Paper 1728.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 8,800 ft3/s, Apr. 7, 1997, gage height, 23.63 ft; no flow at times in most years.
